Wind Duo 2200

My first reaction with Wind Duo 2200 was... that's crazy! It's exactly like two mobile phones put together back-to-back! That's why it's so thick. It has literally two faces with different color each. It also has 2-megapixel cameras on each side, two displays, two keypads and two speakers.

Considering the modern phones just released in the market, I find its design impractical. I mean yes it's nice that you only have to memorize the color of which SIM card with this design, but really inappropriate. Just imagine how much scratches either face will get every time you put it on surfaces (tables, desks etc...). Wind Duo 2200 also has the basic features like bluetooth, photo caller ID and MP3 tones. It comes in black/silver, gold/silver and fuchsia/silver. If you'd rather have two-faced phones (for what ever reason) than a single one that shares 2 SIM cards, then this is just for you.

MY REVIEW
Pros:
1. two fully functional phone faces (screen, keypads, camera)

2. nice available colors

Cons:

1. really thick like a brick
2. hesitant to put the phone on surfaces (might ruin the other side's surface)

3. nothing unique except two functional phone faces

Verzio Twinn Dual-SIM mobile phone

Verzio Twinn Dual-SIM mobile phone is launched together with Verzio Duplii, which can also accommodate two active SIM cards simultaneously. One big difference of the Twinn is its touch screen display with stylus. Its form is also a slider, which in my opinion looks nice. Although I'm a bit disappointed with the 1.3-megapixel camera it only has.. argh. It also has EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth support and an expansion slot for SD memory card.

Feature-wise, the Duplii wins. But if you're more into enjoying touch-screen access and a slider phone, then no doubt this is for you. I personally like its design, really gorgeous.Ü

MY REVIEW
Pros:
1. responsive touch-screen display

2. gorgeous design
3. tight slider mechanism

Cons:

1. a bit thick slider
2. could've higher camera resloution (i mean consider the latest releases of phones)

3. could've had a flash with the camera or autofocus

Verzio Duplii Dual-SIM phone

Verzio Duplii Dual-SIM phone is launched last November together with another dual-sim phone from verzio, Verzio Twinn. I'm not actually familiar with the brand Verzio so when I saw this on the newspaper I was curious about its quality, although it looks nice. An extra battery by the way is included in its standard package.. nice. It has a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth Connectivity and an FM radio. The best part is, it is 3G-capable! hooray! it also has an expansion slot for an SD card. Duplii also boasts having the combination of QualComm and Philips NXP processors, which are long-life platforms designed for minimal power consumption.

Its screen/resolution is quite impressive. Another great trick it has, is you have an option if you want to activate either of the SIM cards or both! So if you temporarily need to disable one SIM (for whatever reason), you don't have to remove the SIM card anymore. If you also notice, the order of the keypad is abit different.

Though it doesn't have the features of your dream phone, it serves well its purpose with a little extra features (2MP camera, FM radio and 3G capabilities, what else??). I must say it's one of the best dual-sim card mobile phones out there.

MY REVIEW
Pros:
1. lovely design
2. 3G capabilities on a dual-sim phone.. ohhh lala!
3. extra battery on standard package
4. great display
5. minimal power consumption

Cons:
1. screen size could be bigger
2. a lot of space between keypad sets
3. could've had a flash with the camera or autofocus

MyPhone S22 Duo Slider

The MyPhone S22 Duo Slider is the second dual-sim card mobile phone released by MyPhone series. Although this is the first ever slider phone to have a dual-sim card capability. My first concern regarding the exterior design is the front screen which seems a finger print magnet. But when I got hold of it, it's not that bad. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera cmos (by the way, CCD has better shots), 3D surround speakers for a louder and clearer audio, and an expansion slot that supports up to 1 gig micro-SD transflash (not enough!). But what surprised me is when I used it as my music player overnight and it didn't even drained half of the battery's charge. If you're in search of a basic dual-sim card mobile phone who's not much into taking photos and surfing the net, then this is a good choice.

MY REVIEW
Pros:
1. the size and design (neat-looking)
2. great speakers
3. battery charge lasts loooooong
4. light weight

Cons:
1.could've had a more decent camera
2. very limited expansion size

Samsung D880 Duos

The first dual sim card phone of Samsung, the Samsung D880 Duos, is a slider-type phone which can hold two SIM cards simultaneously (can send and receive calls and text messages/SMS). When receiveing calls, the name of the contact flashes on the screen and indicates from which SIM it is saved. Another smart feature is that you can assign each SIM card its own ringtone! So you'd always know which of your numbers is receiving a call.. well, supposedly. Samsung D880 Duos boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus (ehem) and flash and a 2.3-inch screen and an FM radio. Samsung D880 Duos has been released last November 2007. Check its price here. Over-all, I say this phone ROCKS!

MY REVIEW

Pros:
1. very clear and sharp display
2. customizable (can set ring tones on each card)
3. great design
4. high camera resolution (compared to other dual sim phones)

Cons:
1.a bit thick
2. no 3G connection
